Luchadors need love too

Silly little drawing made with an ikea pencil, because I'm classy like that.

Halloween schizo

not only does he display an utter disrespect for the one-costume-per-kid guideline, he's also a whole week late

Freshmen and turtles

Actually it should be singular. One for 'work':

And one for 'myself'

Which I'll probably color soon. And yeah I should clean my scanner.

Spears, guns and computers

A small assortment of drawings I made this month.. The two first ones are for a couple of battlethreads, which sort of explains the aggressive tone. I'm really not that violent of a guy.

theme: "Dungeons and Dragons"

theme:  "Grimdark childhood"

Lurking in the shadows

Made this really quick for my sister who is an international crime fighter, and was in desperate need of an image that says 'international crime'. And nothing says 'international crime' like a criminal next to a motherfucking globe, y'know what i'm sayin'

Silence is egg

Drew this. No clue what the idea behind it is. Was for a competition where someone was looking for a tattoo on his lower leg and I figured I could do something random but kinda cool looking. (talking about tattoos.. i haven't forgotten you appa!)

Skulls are out of style

But teenage death doesn't care. also he has three left arms wtf?

It feels like ages since I've drawn something just because, but it's finals time so it figures.

Not Sinterklaas

Whoo, another update! This time the start of what might become a returning feature: portraits of physicists with their discovery incorporated in one way or another. Although this first one isn't really a physicist, but an actor playing one. Bram van der Vlugt is a dutch actor who was interviewed about his role as Niels Bohr in "Copenhagen".

it's all in the details

Last couple of days that I don't have to spend on school, so I drew something. Has a lot of details compared to usual, and I think i kinda like it.. heavily inspired by acorn. I think I might ink it some time in the future, or just finish it in pencil..

oh and I gots me a flickr now, mostly so I can hotlink images from there on other places.

Pencil and paper, like always

Haven't been drawing much lately, and one of the few things I did draw I can't share because it's for the concrete canvas sketchbook, so it's supposed to stay secret until the book comes out. I did draw something for a stencil revolution battle (subject 'god'), but it was too similar to someone else's entry and I decided to save it so I can try my hand at digital coloring; here's the sketch for historical purposes.

And a quick demon sketch for good measure.

Merry christmas and a happy 2009!

Kid cone and the puppet of sock

Haven't been using my moleskine for a while, but here's a recent drawing i did in it.

What do you think of this, puppet of sock? It seems the very earth we're standing on has taken it upon itself to thwart me in my quest to follow my geodesic.

Straight lines, curved lines

In my quest to try out overdone stuff, I did this little perspective drawing over'ere. The cast shadows were drawn without thinking about any particular lightsource, so yeah, they don't make sense.

End of summer

Was bored, and thought I'd try my hand at the age old tradition of just drawing a bunch of people on top of eachtother.. still can't draw girls I guess.

Death to everyone is gonna come

This is currently my most favorite drawing i made, even though there's too much meaningless symbolism in it.

edit: added some highlights on his shirt and horns

If I could travel to the stars

It would definately be inside a giant dragonfly suit.. This was actually for a stnclrvltn battle thread, untill i realized a giant dragonfly suit does not really count as an 'astral body'

to the stars.. and beyond! again!

And I guess the weird blurry thing is caused by firefox3 which for some reason thinks the images are displayed in different dimensions than they actually are, and rescales them smoothly (instead of nearest neighbour like it used to)
edit: ok im dumb, firefox was zoomed in at like 105% or something so that caused the blurring.

Hands everywhere

Two recent hand sketches.. 'studies' you might even say? Not sure, at all.

is it me or does blogspot seem to make scaled down images blurry?

No pain no gain

Little to say, but so much left to draw

Lack Draws Sporadically

Haven't done much drawing lately, did make a quick painting and revised another one, but I don't have the means to put them up. Since it's kinda stupid to have a sketch blog without anything on it for more than a month, I drew a monster that looks suspiciously like the HULK just for the occasion.

And now, back to the object oriented data analysis framework! Lack... AWAY!

The day giant babyheaded shrimp descended from the sky

This is another sketch for a sketchtheater contest.. The theme is "Alien Invasion", so I drew a baby-meets-shrimp kind of creature, hanging from the sky. I'll probably touch up a bit here and there before I send it in, but here's a sneak preview for my loyal readers ;)

Tree from monkey(man) in tree

A small doodle from a small monkey(?) with a human nose in a small tree. Growing out of the monkeys head. Levitating.

He doesn't look happy at all.
